They must live together and grow co-dependently close, all while the machinations behind the scene are twirling like cogs in order to move them closer to the darkness.

Anyone can be manipulated. You just need to work at them through the right person.

You wake up, groggy and confused, in a white room that is expansive and furnished with all white furniture, yet pristine. The white is probably so bright that it hurts your eyes and you may have to blink for a moment. It doesn't help that your body is swathed in white, too; you're wearing what appears to be a modern day white cotton scrub top and and bottom. In fact, the only spot of black on you is on the palm of your hand: right in the center, there's a barcode. Under that, in neat, angular print, is a name. Your name.

It's a good thing it's there because otherwise, you wouldn't know it. Your memories are gone. You don't know how you got here, why you're here, or much of anything else. Soon, however, you'll know that you're not alone. The other person is not you're captor, that much is for sure. They're clothed like you are and look just as confused. They even have the exact same barcode as you, down to the last number. The only thing that differs is the name under it.

But the room is furnished for one alone. One bed, one couch, one bathroom. You two don't know much, yet you know you are two. The secret is soon made clear by a voice over a hidden loudspeaker. The Interspecies Smut Meme

Cultures handle sex incredibly differently. While it may be casual in some societies, in others, the act of copulation equates with commitment. And that's all in one species! This gradient of reactions and attitudes becomes even more complicated with the addition of different species. Yes, species...sentient and sapient, of course! Be those races alien, magical, vampiric, angelic, animalistic, or even a vague mutation of humanity itself, all have a somewhat nuanced view of what sex should be, be it healthy or unhealthy. There's probably even other ways to go about it for them, not to mention the variation in the actual mechanics. How presumptuous to assume that everyone in this whole wide universe would be shaped exactly like bland ol' humans?

Throwing two species together for a sexual rendezvous is inadvisable, yet it happens. Specifically, it happens in this meme. There's a beauty in the buildup - of a relationship, of desire, even of lust. In a television show, a long-running comic series, or a well-paced movie, couples to be worth their salt have a reasonable amount of will they/won't they. That creates anticipation and investment, and the resulting payoff is beyond satisfying. Unfortunately, in meme RP, buildup isn't often an option; your hands are tied unless you want to stick with canonmates or characters you already have CR with. Not exactly the most conducive tagging environment!

This meme isn't a perfect remedy for that, but with an assumed CR element, it's a step in that direction. The premise is simple: the two characters threading have clearly been wanting each other for a long time. What a long time is, of course, is up to you, whether it's weeks, months, years, what have you. There may have been glances, subtle touches, love from afar, or maybe something as concrete as a discussion of their situation, though most likely not. What there hasn't been is sex...until now. A release to all this tension is imminent, and you get to play it out. Rough sex, romantic first times, calm moments, all scenarios are welcome here as long as they fit under the banner of "finally getting together."

Unlike most Hollywood features, true love and a happy ending is not guaranteed, but that doesn't matter. What does is characters being with someone they've wanted, even if just for a little while, and muns get to play out smut with a bit of "umph" and weight to it. Here, there's something at stake, and the inevitable is long past due.

Perhaps your so-called "significant" other is abusive and cruel to you, cold, not at all what you need. They might have changed a great deal from the person you thought you cared for. Depending on the time and place, you might have never loved your ball and chain at all; instead, you were forced together as part of a political or financial scheme or for your own safety. At any rate, the one who holds your heart can never hold your hand.

There's always a right tool for the job, be it as simple as a hammer for a nail or on up to the much, much more complex. In this, the near future, the new tool for the abstract, post-modern job is no longer from the humble tool box - it's robots. Robots have taken over most sectors, such as assembly, law enforcement, and even health care. Things run so much smoother when they're automated. Yet the most impressive factor is that robots have just recently begun to enter a sector previously believed to require human touch: the personal sector. From personal assistants to robo bodyguards to pleasurebots, most anyone who's anyone has a personal robot these days. Of course, humanity being the narcissistic charmers we are, all "companion" sector robots are made in our own beautiful image, or close to it.

But you know this. You have a personal robot, after all...or you are one.

The Experience Difference - aka Deflowering Meme

There's nothing wrong with a little bump and grind, a great poet once said. When you meet that right person and sparks fly, just do what comes naturally! No one will judge you...

...no one that matters, anyway.

But what if you judge yourself - gasp - because your partner has more sexual experience than you! Not that it's hard if you're a virgin. Perhaps you knew that going in, or this could be a discovery you make while your under the covers. It may be expected (ie, your partner is older or more worldly than you) or a complete and utter surprise.

How you handle it, however, is the key. Are you embarrassed? Shocked? Angry? If you're smart, you'll hope your partner will show you the ropes. If you truly care for this other person, you shouldn't let things like this come between you, as hard as that can be.
