As the song implies, rather than having this meme be about committed relationships or even really the potential for falling in love long term, this is about taking solace and comfort from more temporary sources. You may not know the person/people you're with very well. You might not be friends, or even kind acquaintances. What matters is right now you (or both or all of you) need something to get through the night and take your mind off everything else for the time being. 

There's really only one rule for this meme: Avoid ships that are canon -- unless your intent is to set them at a point where they're not canon yet. ...Or anymore. These ships pass in the night. That is all. Beyond that -- pretty much anything goes. 

Smut is optional, but kind of implied by the theme. I've tagged for potential triggers but I don't imagine it will come up.

Make up your own scenario, or take one (or a combination) from the following: 

1. "I know you're weary." Whatever landed the two of you here -- you're exhausted. It's been a long day, or several days, and you just need rest. What's more, you, or both (or all) of you just need to feel something other than terrible. 
2. "I know your plans don't include me." This has been an interesting alliance, but it's high time we move on. So let's make a proper goodbye of it.
3. Truce. For now. Circumstances, whatever they are, have created the need for a temporary alliance between enemies, and perhaps a little drink, conversation, and venting of frustrations unrelated to your usual ire. 
4. Homesick or heartsick. All or one of you has been disconnected from something important -- whether it's home, or someone you love, or both or more. What's more, there may be no hope of ever getting back to them, or at the very least, you're losing hope. Take comfort in one another.
5. It's been too long. As the title implies. It has been way too long since the last time you were with someone. What does it matter that it's temporary? You just need this. 
6. We have nothing better to do. Simple as that. You're both bored and could use a nightcap. So let's bonk.
7. Talked yourselves into it. Somehow you got into a frank discussion about sex that might have been easy from the start, or awkward, but by the end of it, it's fairly comfortable conversation. Now taking what you've discovered and putting it to use just seems like the most reasonable thing in the world to do. (Can be pre- or post-conversation.)
8. WILDCARD. Choose your own adventure, or combination of any.
