Romantasy Meme
A meme with prompts inspired by the romantasy genre.

RULES
- Like most memes, comment and get comments.
- Venture on to read a scroll of prompts.

  1. (play pretend): our characters have to pretend to be married or betrothed to be allowed in the same room together.
  2. (one bed): while on the run, our characters must share a bed.
  3. (courtly love): one character is a knight at the service of the other character, and they have courtly love behavior.
  4. (it can never be): one character is married while the other is a knight not allowed to be married. Theirs is an impossible romance.
  5. (coronation): character two is crowned king/queen, and character one is watching closely. 
  6. (succession): the unlikely heir, character two is crowned heir to the realm while character one, their fiance/lover watches.
  7. (where our hands touch): our characters hands touch accidentally causing them to pause mid-conversation.
  8. (do not strike): character one is about to slap character two for an offense but character two catches character one’s hand, bringing them close.
  9. (am i not enough): character two finds out that character one has a mistress/lover.
  10. (i am not taken): character one questions character two’s relationship with someone, and character two informs them said someone is their relative, to character one’s delight.
  11. (yo-ho a pirate’s life): character one is a pirate and character two finds themselves on their ship.
  12. (bridal style): character two is injured and character one picks them up to avoid further injury.
  13. (your coat is warmer): character one is cold or underdressed and character two places their coat on their shoulders.
  14. (sworn enemies as lovers): despite being sworn enemies, our characters pretend to be lovers/or marry to join forces against a bigger enemy.
  15. (the faints): character one faints/trips and character two is there to catch them.
  16. (in the rain): our characters are caught in the midst of rain and seek refuge while it passes. They are alone.
  17. (bath): character two is taking a bath and character one appears in the room, taking in the suggestive view.
  18. (masquerade): at a ball, people are encouraged to dance. Sender and character two do not know one another and dance under the guise of strangers.
  19. (masquerade for us): character one and character two know each other and play pretend during the night with their masks on.
  20. (like a shoe): character one helps the character two with their shoes, and their hand lingers on character two's ankle.
  21. (through the mirror): character one asks to receive to help them out of their dress, and character two takes their time with each lace.
  22. (how it begins): our characters are encouraged to talk alone, hoping to find common ground for a marriage.
  23. (bedding): character one and character two were wed and now it’s their wedding night.
  24. (the gods are our witness): character two and character one fooling around, the desire grows with each day.
  25. (their knight): character two is a knight/prince who gives their cloak to a lady/princess to help her cover herself.
  26. (victory tastes good): reunited, our characters have their first kiss after a war/battle.
  27. (learn from me): character one is teaching character two how to use a weapon and stands too close.
  28. (marriage of inconvenience): character one and character two are forced into a marriage that neither likes. Despite this, a spark is lit.
  29. (in love and war): our characters are enemies, somehow, through forced proximity, they find comfort in each other.
  30. (a kiss like medicine): character one is grieving and character two is comforting them, in the midst of it all, character one kisses character two.
  31. (shut me up): during an argument, the character one forcefully kisses character two to shut them up.
  32. (in your arms): continuation of the one bed trope, our characters wake up in the same bed, having drifted close and cuddle.
  33. (it’s fate): character one and character two are fated to be together and they meet, they can feel it in their souls.
  34. (what is honor in the hands of love): despite not being wed, our characters sleep together in a night of thirst and love.
  35. (mutual pining): character one and character two are in love, tension keeps on growing but both are afraid of ruining what they already have.
  36. (defend): character one hits someone to defend character two’s honor.
  37. (runaway wedding): our characters marry in secret.
